ULTM8: The Tool I'm Building to Take Control of My Own Longevity
In my last post I wrote about why I'm taking longevity seriously, and how it really comes down to two things: healthspan and wealthspan. Keeping your body going, and keeping your bank account going. Lose either one and those extra years stop being much fun.
Knowing that is one thing. Actually staying on top of it, day to day, is another. I didn't want to just hope I was doing the right things — I wanted to see it. So I decided to build myself something.
ULTM8
The tool I'm building (or should I say vibe coding) to help me stay on top of both is called ULTM8. It's free, and honestly it's as much for me as anyone. It's built around eight simple pillars: four for health, four for wealth.
On the health side, four pillars. A Healthy Heart — your cardiovascular health, the stuff like blood pressure and resting heart rate that quietly decides how well the engine keeps running. Lasting Endurance — your aerobic fitness, being able to keep going without gassing out. A Strong Body — muscle and strength, which turns out to be one of the biggest things keeping you independent as you get older. And a Healthy Lifestyle — the daily basics: sleep, what you eat, stress, the small habits that add up over years.
On the wealth side, four more. Debt Freedom — getting out from under debt so it's not quietly dragging everything else down. Financial Security — a buffer for when life throws a curveball, so one bad month doesn't undo you. Retirement Ready — building up enough that one day you can stop working and still be fine. And Income Independence — not being fully dependent on a single paycheck, so your money isn't tied to trading every hour for it.
The point isn't to drown myself in charts and complexity. ULTM8 is really just there to nudge my habits in the right direction and keep an eye on the numbers that matter, so I can live more intentionally and build a better future.
I don't see ULTM8 as some silver bullet for longevity. It's a starting point — a way to finally stop treating longevity as something that just happens and start actually looking after it.
It's free, and it's over at ultm8life.com if you fancy a look. No catch — I'm building it out in the open and figured I'd share as I go.
